First Edition: Game ‘N Connect

We look back with great pleasure on a wonderful evening at Buurthuis De Mussen, where we welcomed many new faces.

We engaged in various game rounds, got to know each other better in the process, and unleashed our competitive spirits. One team went home with the prize, but, as someone pointed out that evening, “We are all winners!”. It was heartwarming to see everyone come together. Everyone’s enthusiasm and openness made the evening a definite success.

We are looking forward with excitement and hope to see everyone again at the next edition of our event series on June 19. More information about that event will follow.

We are Samen Hier (Together Here), a national movement of people and organizations committed to creating a welcoming society for people forced to flee. Together with engaged citizens, we work to provide a warm welcome for newcomers in the Netherlands. For young newcomers, we created the Samen Hier Student community in which we connect young people in The Hague with young newcomers in order to create a network of genuine friendships and equal exchange.
